Dr. Rossie Gomez is a native Houston. At an early age he developed an interest in medicine and attended the DeBakey High School for the Health Professions.  Dr. Gomez earned a BS in chemistry from Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans.  He received his podiatric medical education at the William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois.  He completed his residency training at the Michigan Health Center in Detroit, Michigan.

After completing his residency, Dr. Gomez returned to Houston to begin in his medical career.  He has been in practice for 26 years. He has worked in private practice and in community health with the Harris Health System and Access Health.   He has extensive experience in the treatment of diabetic foot complications.

Dr. Gomez has been involved in the community as a volunteer physician at the San Jose Clinic, lecturer at Diabetic Awareness and Wellness Network and has served on the boards of the Texas Southern University Wesley Foundation and the Houston Real Estate Association CDC.

He enjoys listening to jazz music, painting, and genealogy.
